ON Thursday, January 26, the Republican Federated Women of South Florida and the Palm Beach Chapter of Asian GOP celebrated Chinese New Year in Boca Raton Country Club. We welcomed keynote speaker, Palm Beach County Commissioner Steven Abrams, who gave an update on County news and briefly discussed the county’s status as a sanctuary city. He also answered questions from the audience. Another speaker was Palm Beach County GOP Chair Michael Barnett, who was recently elected Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Florida.Mike talked about the successes of the County Party, including a PROF award for returned absentee ballots.
The attendees were treated to a show in celebration of the Chinese New year. The performance by the professional Chinese dancers and musicians had the audience enthralled.
